Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security was held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, in the Irving Lecture Hall, Westin DFW Airport, Irving, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. 

 

The committee received invited and public testimony related to transportation financing, transportation infrastructure and border and homeland security. Witnesses are shown on the attached list.

 

Chairman Carona announced that the Committee will meet quarterly to receive updates on implementation of legislation.

 

There being no further business, at 12:23 p.m. Senator Nichols moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
