The chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The chair recognized Sergio Tristan, (CPT of the TXMF’s) to lead the committee in the United States Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge. 

 

Senator Van de Putte made opening remarks to the committee.
