Pursuant to a notice posted on March 17, 2023, revised on March 20, 2023, announced from the house floor on March 21, 2023, and permission granted on March 23, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Bonnen, at 2:04 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Bonnen; González, Mary; Bell, Cecil; Bryant; Gates; Gervin-Hawkins; Howard; Isaac; Jetton; Johnson, Jarvis; Martinez; Martinez Fischer; Morrison; Orr; Ortega; Rose; Spiller; Stucky; Tepper; Thimesch; Thompson, Ed; Toth; VanDeaver; Walle; and Wu.

The chair laid out HB 1.

The chair offered and explained a complete committee substitute on HB 1.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
