Pursuant to a notice posted on March 1, 2023, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Longoria, at 10:01 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Longoria; Vasut; Frazier; Isaac; Lambert; and Neave Criado.

A quorum was present.

The committee met for an organizational hearing to take invited testimony only from the following entities on matters under the committee's jurisdiction:

State Office of Risk Management

Division of Workers' Compensation of Texas Department of Insurance

Office of Injured Employee Counsel

Texas Mutual Insurance Company

Texas Workforce Commission

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

At 11:14 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
