Pursuant to a notice posted on October 19, 2023, and permission granted on October 23, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Burrows, at 8:45 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Burrows; Rose; Cook; Geren; Hefner; Hernandez; Johnson, Ann; Patterson; Slawson; and Thompson, Ed.

A quorum was present.

Representative Cook moved to place the following measures: 

on the General State Calendar for Wednesday, October 25, 2023:  HB 4, HB 6, SB 4, SB 7.

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Burrows; Cook; Geren; Hefner; Patterson; Slawson; Thompson, Ed (7).

Nays:                           Representatives Rose; Hernandez; Johnson, Ann (3).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representative Talarico (1).

At 8:46 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
