Pursuant to a notice posted on April 27, 2023, the House Committee on Insurance met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Oliverson, at 8:15 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Oliverson; Johnson, Ann; Hull; Paul; and Perez.

SB 1051

 

The chair laid out SB 1051, the Senate companion to HB 4501.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The chair recognized Representative Paul to explain SB 1051 on behalf of Representative Harris, Caroline.
