Pursuant to a notice posted on May 16, 2023, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 9:31 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Hunter; Hernandez; Anchía; Dean; Guillen; Metcalf; Raymond; Slawson; Smithee; Spiller; Thompson, Senfronia; and Turner.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 2627

 

The chair laid out SB 2627 as pending business.

 

Representative Dean offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Spiller moved that SB 2627, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
