Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 10, 2023, and permission granted on May 10, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Lozano, at 3:31 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Lozano; Gates; Bernal; Cortez; Cunningham; González, Jessica; Hayes; Romero, Jr.; and Tepper.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 2209, as previously substituted, as pending business.

The chair moved that SB 2209, as previously substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           Representatives Bernal; González, Jessica; Romero, Jr. (3).

At 3:35 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
