Pursuant to a notice posted on July 2, 2019, the House Committee on International Relations & Economic Development met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Anchia, at 2:10 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Anchia; Frullo; Blanco; Cain; Perez; Raney; and Romero, Jr..

A quorum was present.

The committee met jointly with the committee on Homeland Security and Public Safety to hear the posted agenda of invited testimony on issues related to the increase in asylum-seeking migrant families at the Texas-Mexico border.

At 8:05 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
