Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Economic Development was held on Monday, April 7, 2025, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

Senator Kevin Sparks called the meeting to order at 12:00 PM. A quorum was established at 12:04 PM. The following business was transacted:
The following members arrived after the roll was called: Senator Alvarado and Senator Johnson.
The chair laid out SB 1534 and recognized the author, Senator Zaffirini, to explain the bill.
Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.
There being no further witnesses on SB 1534, public testimony was closed.
Senator Sparks moved that SB 1534 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.
The chair laid out SB 1553 and recognized the author, Senator Flores, to explain the bill.
