Accessing the Bill Stages Window

After you look up a bill, click the Bill Stages tab. 

Bill Stages Window Description

The following describes information in the Bill Stages window:

• The Bill, Legislative Session, and Author display.

• A graph displays the stages of the legislative process. The bill's progress is indicated by color.  If the bill has passed a stage, the date displays in that section of the graph.

TIP:  You can view the description of the colors used in the Legend area.

• The Helpful Links area displays links to sites that provide detailed information about the legislative process.

• A list displays additional information about the bill's progress.
